WHOLE BEEF

  • WHOLE BEEF -

  • Whole beef cost          $   3.45 per pound of live weight

  • Processing cost          $115.00 per animal

  • cut and wrap cost        $   1.00 per pound of hang weight.

  • approximate whole to farm  (1100 lbs x $3.45) = $3795.00

  • processor fee is $1.00 per lb hang weight - estimated (600 lbs x 1.00) = $600.00

  • processing by head fee $115.00 /  = $115.00

  • estimated total - $4510.00   (425-450 lbs of freezer ready beef )

  • This averages out to an estimated $10.60 per lb 

 

  • Once steer is harvested and weighed on certified scale an invoice for balance due to farm will be sent.

  • Processing fees are paid separately to Processor

 HALF BEEF

 

  • HALF BEEF       

  • Whole beef cost          $ 3.80 per pound of live weight

  • Processing cost          $58.00 per half animal

  • cut and wrap cost        $ 1.00 per pound of half hang weight.

  • approximate half to farm (550 lbs x $3.80) = $2090.00

  • processor fee is $1.00 per lb hang weight = (300 lbs x 1.00) = $300.00

  •  quarter of a cow is actually a split half; meaning that each quarter will receive equal parts of the half side of a cow from the front and the back.
